Welcome to the Ohio Township Association's (OTA) home page. The OTA is a statewide organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of township government in Ohio. The Association was founded on June 28, 1928, and is organized in 87 Ohio counties. The Association has more than 5,200 active members, made up of trustees and fiscal officers from Ohio's 1,308 townships, and more than 4,000 associate members. This site provides information on township government in Ohio and is intended as a resource to aid in effective township government. |

2009 OTA Scholarship Application Available |
| The OTA is offering three scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each this year. Two scholarships will be awarded in the Local Government Acheivement category and one in the Academic Achievement category. All high school seniors who live in a township and plan to attend a two or four-year Ohio institution upon graduation are eligible. Applications are due no later than Jan. 28, 2009. Construction Claims Seminar Offered Through Bricker & Eckler LLP |
| The sixth annual Top Gun Construction Claims Seminar, co-sponsored by the Ohio Township Association, will occur Nov. 17, 2008, at the Embassy Suites in Dublin, Ohio. Attendees will learn about important contract language, best practices for project documentation, the risks of differing site conditions, delay and lost productivity claims, the design professional's standard of care, and damages and claims and how to analyze and prepare for them.
