OTA Constitution Change

At the June 2009 meeting of the Ohio Township Association (OTA) Board of Directors, a recommendation was made to alter the OTA Constitution with respect to the officers' nominating committee. Article V, Section 3 of the Constitution currently requires the officers' nominating committee be comprised of nine individuals from nine different counties and the committee is charged with interviewing and recommending all officer candidates.

The recommendation approved by the Board, and now subject to a vote by the full membership at the annual winter conference, is to reduce from nine to five the number of people on the officers' nominating committee. All active members of the OTA in attendance at the annual winter conference on Feb. 18 will vote on the matter. To read the current Constitution, please visit the Publications/Forms page of this Web site.
